Job summary

Mirus Wales seeks a Support Team Manager in Bridgend to lead senior support workers and staff, ensuring high-quality person-centred care within budget and contracts. You will drive safeguarding, staff training, and positive wellbeing while building strong community links.

You will manage care hours, rotas, and risk assessments, lead on service delivery, and support the development of staff through a full training programme and funded QCF qualification.

Qualifications

• QCF level 4/5 management qualification or willing to work towards
• Experience of supporting people who have learning disabilities with minimum 1 year’s management experience
• Experience of liaising with external agencies, families, and representatives
• Experience of working within legislative guidelines e.g., MCA, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, DOLS
• Ability to work flexibly and take part in an 'Out of Hours' service
• Ability to work across a range of teams including MDTs
• Fully funded and supported qualification – QCF
• Full training programme and opportunities for development

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality person-centred services through strong line management of the senior support workers and support staff teams
• Manage care hours, rotas and contracts and deliver against key objectives within budget
• Deliver a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture
• Ensure safeguarding standards and staff training are current
• Lead teams to enable people to play an active role in their community and maintain important relationships
• Ensure services meet contract and commissioned hours requirements
• Oversee implementation of support plans and risk assessments and keep them updated
• Encourage and enable people supported to maximise independence and community involvement
• Ensure feedback from people supported is gathered and actions taken to improve plans
