Job summary

Mirus Wales is seeking a temporary Registered Manager to lead our Respite services in Cardiff. You will drive person-centered support for adults with learning disabilities and oversee a dynamic team.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, budget oversight, and strong regulatory knowledge. The position offers a funded development path, supportive culture, and a comprehensive benefits package, with a 10-month duration.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in person-centered services for adults with learning disabilities.
  • 5+ years' experience managing people and services.
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • QCF 5 / Registered Managers Award or equivalent in Health & Social Care.
  • Registered as a Social Care Manager with Social Care Wales.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Fully funded and supported qualification–QCF.
  • 20 days Annual Leave, plus Bank Holidays (increase after 12 months).
  • Pension Scheme.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Paid work-related travel at 45p per mile between services.

About the Role

Mirus is seeking an experienced and dynamic Respite Registered Manager temporary up to 10-month. You will lead our Respite & CCX Registered Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered support for adults with learning disabilities.   • QCF 5 / Registered Managers Award or equivalent in Health & Social Care.
  • Registered as a Social Care Manager with Social Care Wales.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire teams, manage performance, and drive service improvement.
  • Fully funded and supported qualification–QCF.
  • Full training programme and opportunities for development and promotion.
  • 20 days' Annual Leave, plus Bank Holidays (Your annual holiday entitlement increases by 1 day a yearon the first full month after your 12 months service to maximum of 29).
