Job summary

Mirus is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Manager to lead our Respite services in Cardiff on a temporary basis up to 10 months. You will ensure high-quality, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities and uphold regulatory standards.

The role requires a full UK driving license, strong leadership, budgets, and safeguarding knowledge, with QCF 5 or equivalent and registration with Social Care Wales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in person-centered services for adults with learning disabilities.
• 5+ years experience managing people and services.
• Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of high-quality respite services in line with Mirus values and regulatory standards.
• Develop and motivate staff teams, ensuring services meet quality, contractual, and legislative requirements.
• Manage service budgets, contracts, and deliver against key objectives.
• Promote a positive culture of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing.
• Support geographically dispersed teams and act as a role model for good practice.
• Ensure effective risk management, compliance, and business continuity planning.
• Provide strong leadership, supervision, and support to direct reports.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff.
• Lead on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• QCF 5 / Registered Managers Award or equivalent in Health & Social Care.
• Registered as a Social Care Manager with Social Care Wales.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire teams, manage performance, and drive service improvement.
