Job summary

MIRUS - WALES in Bridgend is seeking a dedicated Support Team Manager to lead the senior support workers and support staff, delivering high-quality person-centred services and ensuring effective care planning and budgeted delivery.

You will oversee safeguarding training, service delivery within contract hours, and work flexibly including out-of-hours shifts, contributing to community involvement and independent living for people supported.

Qualifications

• QCF level 4/5 management qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities with a minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Experience liaising with external agencies, families and representatives.
• Experience working within legislative guidelines (e.g., C IW Standards, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, DOLS).
• Ability to work flexibly and participate in an Out of Hours service.
• Ability to work effectively across a range of teams, including peer group and Multi-Disciplinary Teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred services through strong line management of the senior support workers and support staff.
• Ensure care planning and risk assessments are well managed and up-to-date.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure staff training is current.
• Lead teams to help people build and maintain meaningful relationships.
• Deliver services in line with contracts, budgets and commissioned hours.
• Promote active support and inclusion within the community.
