Job summary

Cornerstone Perth is seeking a part-time Support Practitioner to assist a gentleman with complex needs in his own home. This fixed-term role offers 16 hours per week with a sleepover shift and additional pay for sleepovers.

No prior experience is required; we recruit on values and provide full training, SVQ funding (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC registration fees covered. A full UK manual driving licence is preferred; computer skills and good communication are essential.

You're in luck as our amazing #TeamCraigie in Perth are now on the lookout for a caring and reliable individual to join them on a part-time (16 hours per week) basis. This is a fixed-term opportunity until February 2027. We also have relief job opportunities too, if you're looking for something a bit more flexible.

Our team and the individual you'll support

As a Support Practitioner you'll become part of a friendly team who provides invaluable support to a fun loving gentleman with complex needs in his own home.

You won't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC registration fees too!

As the gentleman that we support has his own mobility car, it would be great if you bring a full UK manual driving license, but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

• A full manual driving licence as this gentleman has his own mobility car
• Confidence to support in the water as swimming is a regular activity.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• A caring attitude and approach.
• A positive approach to learning.
• An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines.
• Confidence in the use of computers.

Shift patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support possible, shift patterns for opportunity is currently one day per week 0830-0830 hours (includes a sleepover). The sleepover part of a sleepover shift is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £107.60 for each sleepover worked.
