Job summary

Social Interest Group is seeking a dedicated Support Coach to help residents recently released from prison reintegrate into the community. The role is based in Havering with a rolling day-shift pattern and a 37.5 hour week; flexibility for weekends and bank holidays is required.

You will develop tailored support plans, monitor progress, and work with colleagues to ensure safety and compliance. You will build trust with residents, manage your caseload, and use your insights into social care and

Qualifications

• Experience working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, or similar context.
• Understanding and applying key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice and mental health.
• Ability to manage own caseload and set priorities with time management.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times.
• Engaging with residents to ensure adherence to license conditions and community engagement.
• Completing handovers for night colleagues to ensure seamless service.
• Building trusting professional relationships to help residents achieve goals through tailored sessions.
• Empowering residents to take control of their lives and meet personal goals.
