Job Title: Supply Chain Planner (UK) - Peterborough Site
Location: Peterborough, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Contract Type: 6-month initial contract (potential for extension)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Start Date: Immediate
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site initially, reducing to 2 days later)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Supply Chain Planner to join our team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will support the planning and maintenance of daily Supply Chain operations in key functional areas including materials, production, inventory, logistics, and order fulfilment. This is an excellent opportunity for a quick learner with strong numerical and communication skills to gain valuable experience in a dynamic, hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of master production and material plans to meet customer demand.
Execute daily operational planning processes within assigned functional areas.
Analyze and interpret KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
Use MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Master Production Scheduling systems (full training provided).
Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver tactical improvements.
Utilize planning systems to maintain consistent signals across the supply chain.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain function.
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
High level of numerical aptitude
Preferred (But Not Essential):
Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
Prior internship or work experience in a supply chain or analytical role
Exposure to manufacturing supply chains or related sectors
Candidate Profile:
A fast learner with the ability to work independently
Adaptable and responsive to a fast-changing environment
Analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven
