Job Title: Supply Chain Engineer

Location: Wareham, Dorset

Compensation: Up to £42,022 Dependent on Experience + Benefits

The role

As a Supply Chain Engineer, you’ll be part of an experienced team supporting the UK Armed Forces with spares, directly impacting material and vehicle availability and reliability. You will provide technical and obsolescence expertise to identify risks and opportunities, supporting the contracting strategy, and escalating issues as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and leading activities to optimize pre-contract opportunities, including specifications and technical questions.
• Supporting supplier management and handling non-conformance issues.
• Ensuring technical compliance of all materials procured under the add to contract process.
• Managing drawings required for competition, ensuring they are requested, uploaded to VAULT, and fit for purpose.

This is a full-time role, based on-site at Bovington, working 37 hours per week.

Essential experience

• Advanced PC skills (MS Office, Outlook, SharePoint, ERP systems)
• Experience working with data and reporting
• Ability to make risk-based decisions based on available information

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification (e.g., Intermediate apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ) or equivalent workplace experience

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance. Some roles may be subject to additional security and trade restrictions.
