Manufacturing Engineer Supply Chain - Composite Technology Facility

Job Description

This role involves developing manufacturing methods, processes, and materials for composite fan blades and casings at our Bristol facility. You will work within the UltraFan Demonstrator Programme, supporting the development of hardware for a Mk2 Engine Architecture, collaborating with internal and external suppliers, and managing relationships to ensure quality and conformance.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and manage relationships with the supply chain, ensuring progress and quality.
  • Resolve technical issues within the supply chain, leading problem resolution efforts.
  • Manage supplier approvals and process documentation.
  • Drive supply chain quality and cost improvements for the UltraFan Programme.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain.
  • Manage hardware delivery and resolve non-conformances.

Who we're looking for

  • An Engineering or relevant discipline degree, HND or HNC with manufacturing experience.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially impact liners or honeycomb structures.
  • Experience with supplier management and aerospace systems.
  • Analytical, innovative thinking, and good teamwork skills.
