Job description

A well-established UK manufacturer is looking for a reliable, organised, and hands-on Inventory & Supply Chain Manager to oversee the day-to-day logistics, inventory, and supplier operations. This is a small team environment, you’ll be managing two direct reports, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a practical role with responsibility.

This position would suit someone with experience insupply chain, logistics, or warehouse management, ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background, and with solid working knowledge of MRP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory levels and maintain accurate stock profiles

• Manage the MRP system to support production and fulfilment

• Evaluate and mitigate supplier risks to ensure continuity of supply

• Negotiate delivery schedules and schedules

• Proactively monitor and chase outstanding purchase orders

• Manage and compile relevant documentation (EU and global)

• Experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations

• Confident with MRP/ERP systems and inventory control

• Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

• Demonstrated ability to manage and support a small team
