Job summary

Kramp U.K. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor in Biggleswade to lead the outbound team and drive operational excellence. You will manage a large picking/packing operation to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, while maintaining a strong safety culture.

You will report to the Warehouse Manager and coach a team to improve productivity, accuracy and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. The role offers development opportunities and a competitive package.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in a Warehouse or Logistics Supervisor role.
  • Experience with workforce planning, resource allocation and operational organisation.
  • Knowledge of people management processes including employee relations matters.
  • Strong leadership to coach, develop and inspire teams.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operation of the Outbound team (50+ employees) to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Drive performance against KPIs, quality measures and productivity targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across warehouse processes.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to set and hit daily and weekly objectives.
  • Lead team briefings and communicate priorities and expectations.
  • Create a culture focused on safety, quality, engagement and accountability.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members to maximise performance.
  • Manage attendance, performance, conduct and capability per company policies.
  • Identify training needs and ensure staff are trained across logistics operations.
  • Promote a Right First Time mindset to maintain high service standards.
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and accurately per health and safety rules.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and apply 5S principles across the warehouse.
  • Support new operational projects and initiatives as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced logistics environment, where you'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time. As Warehouse Supervisor reporting directly into our Warehouse Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting the daily operation of the Outbound function, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

What you will be doing?
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the Outbound team consisting of 50 plus employees working in our picking/packing operation, to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Driving performance against operational KPIs, quality measures, and productivity targets
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practice across warehouse processes
  • Working closely with the Warehouse Manager to set and achieve daily and weekly operational objectives
  • Leading team briefings and communicating clear priorities and expectations
  • Creating a culture focused on safety, quality, engagement, and accountability
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to maximise individual and team performance
  • Managing attendance, performance, conduct, and capability in line with company policies
  • Identifying training and development needs, ensuring team members are appropriately trained across logistics operations
  • Promoting a "Right First Time" mindset to maintain exceptional service standards
  • Ensuring all vehicles are loaded safely and accurately in line with operational and health and safety requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and implementing 5S principles throughout the warehouse
  • Supporting new operational projects and initiatives as required

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse or Logistics Supervisor role (minimum 1 year)
