Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a Retail Store Assistant with keyholder responsibilities for our Bristol shop on Queens Road. This six-month fixed-term role involves Sundays work, taking keyholder duties, and supporting a lively team of volunteers.

You will develop strong customer service, help achieve fundraising targets, handle donated goods, and contribute ideas to grow income while upholding safeguarding and shop standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering strong customer service in a busy shop.
• Able to work Sundays and take keyholder responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates commercial awareness and a capacity to generate income ideas.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the running of the shop on Sundays, including keyholder responsibilities.
• Support a diverse team of volunteers to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
• Reviewing and processing donated goods and new stock.
• Generate ideas to help create new income with guidance from Shop Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service to make customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain shop standards on safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
