Job summary

Leonardo invites students to join a Summer Placement as a Test Systems Engineer in the United Kingdom. The programme runs from 01/06/2026 to 27/08/2027, with a strong on-site component to maximize learning and team integration.

You will support project delivery, collaborate across disciplines, and apply theoretical knowledge to real projects including design, testing, qualification and technology support. Mentoring will help you develop while contributing to Leonardo's engineering community.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a Bachelor's/Integrated Master’s degree or higher.
• Disciplines include Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Design, Product Design Engineering, Communications Engineering, Engineering Physics, Applied Physics & Engineering Science.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of small packages of work to time, cost, and quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to help project targets.
• Apply your academic knowledge to design, testing, qualification and/or technology support.
• Share ideas and communicate with your team to gain insight into the Business.
• Develop your skills with guidance of an experienced supervisor and the wider engineering community.
