Leonardo UK Ltd. is offering a nine-week Summer Placement in Systems Engineering (Customer Support) based at our Luton site, with a hybrid working model to suit project needs.

You will work on defined projects within CS3, gaining practical experience and exposure to real engineering challenges and stakeholders. You will be guided by experienced engineers and our CS3 Early Careers Manager, develop technical skills, and have opportunities to progress to future placements or graduate programs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another STEM subject.
• Interest in engineering and Systems Engineering in an industry environment.
• Curiosity and a logical approach to solving unfamiliar problems.
• Self-motivation and a proactive approach to learning and problem solving.
• Ability to consider both the detail of a problem and the wider system context.
• Willingness to investigate topics, ask questions and use evidence to develop understanding.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to learn from colleagues across disciplines.

Responsabilités

• Apply and develop technical knowledge to investigate a real engineering problem or opportunity.
• Understand the problem and its wider context, including customer and stakeholder needs.
• Gather, analyse and interpret information to support engineering decisions.
• Explore potential solutions and assess benefits and wider implications.
• Use Systems Engineering techniques where appropriate to the project.
• Work with engineers and specialists from different disciplines and share ideas.
