Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is offering a 13-week Summer Placement for a Test Software Engineer in Edinburgh. The role focuses on delivering small packages of work on time, cost, and quality while collaborating across disciplines to meet project targets.

You will apply university coursework to real projects, including design, testing, and technology support, developing software to automate testing and control instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/Integrated Master’s or higher (MSc/PhD).
• Disciplines include Security, Computer Communication and Networks, Computer & Network Technology & Cyber Security.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of small packages of work to time, cost, and quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to help project targets and solve problems.
• Apply academic knowledge to real projects, including design, testing, qualification and/or technology support.
• Develop software solutions to control measurement instrumentation devices and automate testing of a unit under test.
