Job summary

Leonardo is offering a 13-week Summer Placement for a Test Software Engineer in Edinburgh. You will work on real projects from day one, receive coaching, and have the opportunity to return for future placements or join the Graduate Development Programme.

You’ll spend at least three days on site weekly, developing software to control measurement instruments and automate testing, with guidance from an experienced supervisor.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/Integrated Master’s degree or higher (MSc/PhD).
• Acceptable disciplines include Security, Computer Communication and Networks, Computer & Network Technology & Cyber Security.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of small packages of work to time, cost, and quality.
• Collaborate across disciplines to help project targets and solve problems.
• Apply academic knowledge to real projects including design, testing, qualification and technology support.
• Develop software solutions to control measurement instrumentation devices and automate testing of a unit under test.
