Job summary

The AA is recruiting for an experienced subsidence claims specialist in Tunbridge Wells. You will manage a portfolio of technical and higher-value household claims, predominantly subsidence, while also handling related cases such as escape of water, flood, fire and oil spill.

You will own cases from review to resolution and collaborate with the Major & Complex team to deliver fair, timely outcomes. You’ll be a trusted technical referral point within the team, applying policy wording, indemnity

Qualifications

• Strong experience handling subsidence claims, including complex cases.
• Experience with other technical property claims (water, flood, fire, oil spill).
• End-to-end adjustment of high-value property claims.
• Experience acting as a technical referral point.
• Knowledge of indemnity, liability, recovery, and policy wording.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; empathetic customer support.
• Ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical and high-value household claims from review to resolution.
• Apply policy wording, indemnity, liability and recovery principles clearly.
• Identify leakage and arrange alternative accommodation where needed.
• Act as a technical referral point for the team.
• Collaborate with Major & Complex team on challenging cases.
• Communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders with empathy.
• Maintain high standards of case handling and administration.
