Job summary

Babcock is offering a four-year Submarine Support Engineering apprenticeship in Bristol. You will rotate through mechanical, structural and electrical teams, delivering vital engineering support to UK defence projects while earning a fully funded degree.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in assessments and calculations, learn to use industry tools like Ansys, FloMASTER, MathCAD and AutoCAD, and work toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with expert mentoring.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at a minimum (or equivalent).
• Two or more A-levels with Maths plus a related science/engineering subject.
• Interest in mechanical engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Attend rotations across mechanical, structural and electrical disciplines.
• Perform structural assessments and analytical calculations.
• Use industry tools such as Ansys and AutoCAD.
• Study for a BEng (Hons) and complete degree requirements.
