Babcock's Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) team in Bristol runs a five‑year Safety Engineering Degree Apprentice programme. You will gain a fully funded BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing from UWE, while supporting MoD submarine safety projects and developing your professional judgement.

You'll study two days a week in year one, expanding to one day in year two, and rotate at Bristol/Devonport sites.

Formación

• 112 tariff points required including GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• A-level Mathematics plus a second science/tech subject is required.
• BTEC Engineering or related diploma with Merit in Further Engineering Mathematics or Further Mathematics for Construction.
• HE Diploma/IB/T Levels considered with relevant maths credits.
• Clearance requirements: BPSS, SC and NNPI eligibility.

Responsabilidades

• Identify hazards and analyze safety aspects within submarine systems.
• Assess the ability of submarine systems to perform safety functions.
• Evaluate risks to personnel and platforms.
• Support design reviews, safety assessments and safety-case work.
