Babcock invites applicants to join the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) team in Bristol as a Safety Engineering Degree Apprentice. You’ll study for a BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing at UWE, while gaining hands-on experience across safety lifecycle activities and certifications.

During the programme you’ll work with BowTieXP and other industry tools, undertake hazard analyses and risk assessments, and develop professional judgement under experienced engineers.

Qualifikationen

• 112 tariff points and standard UK entry requirements.
• GCSE English/Maths at C/4 or equivalent.
• A-levels: Math + one of Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Design & Tech, Electronics, Engineering, ICT, Further Maths, Physics, Statistics.
• BTEC/IB/T Levels/Access equivalents accepted with relevant subjects.

• Identify hazards and assess safety functions across submarine systems.
• Support design reviews and safety assessments with clear evidence.
• Develop Bow Tie models for platform hazards and compile safety cases.
