Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Sub Agent for a major marine / reinforced concrete structures project in the United Kingdom. You will support delivery across the site, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are met, and work with Project Manager, engineers and subcontractors to align with programme and client requirements.

The role involves coordinating construction activities, supervising site teams, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with QA and RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Agent/Project Manager in day-to-day delivery of marine and reinforced concrete works.

• Liaise with Site Engineers and engineering teams for planning.
• Produce method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, permits and docs.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
• Identify delays and implement mitigation measures.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major marine / reinforced concrete structures project. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile marine infrastructure scheme, working within a technically challenging construction environment.

The Role

As Sub Agent, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of construction activities across the project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required technical, quality and environmental standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Management, Engineers, subcontractors and design teams to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications and client requirements.

Sub Agent Responsibilities

• Supporting the Site Agent / Project Manager in the day-to-day delivery of marine and reinforced concrete structures works.
• Managing and coordinating construction activities within designated areas of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Supervising site teams, subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and construction methodology.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying and resolving construction issues as they arise.
• Working closely with Site Engineers and the wider engineering team to ensure construction activities are correctly planned, sequenced and delivered.
• Producing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), permits and other construction documentation.
• Monitoring quality of workmanship and ensuring works comply with project specifications, QA requirements and client expectations.
• Maintaining accurate site records, progress information, daily reports and construction documentation.
• Monitoring progress against programme, identifying potential delays and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

Sub Agent Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Section Engineer, Site Agent or Senior Site Engineer on major civil engineering, marine or reinforced concrete structures projects.
• Excellent understanding of construction methodology, programme management, quality assurance and health & safety requirements.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and construction resources.
• Strong understanding of RAMS, ITPs, permits, inspections and construction documentation.
• Valid CSCS Card (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
