Job summary

RTL Group Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways scheme in Exeter. The role involves supporting the Site Agent, coordinating site activities and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered on time, safely and to the required quality.

You will draw on a strong highways/civil engineering background, lead site teams, monitor productivity and maintain robust site records. This is a long-term, on-site position with a comprehensive delivery focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sub Agent or Senior Site Manager.
• Strong highways and civil engineering background.
• Experience on major highways or infrastructure schemes.
• Good understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and programme delivery.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• CSCS / SMSTS or equivalent qualifications.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways scheme in Exeter.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity, offering 12 months of work for an experienced Sub Agent with a strong background in highways and major civil engineering projects.

The Role

• Supporting the Site Agent with the day-to-day delivery of the highways works
• Managing and coordinating site activities, subcontractors and labour
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme
• Monitoring progress, productivity and quality across the works
• Coordinating with Site Engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team
• Assisting with planning, sequencing and delivery of construction activities
• Ensuring works comply with project specifications, drawings and quality requirements
• Maintaining accurate site records and providing regular progress updates
• Supporting the Site Agent with the overall management and delivery of the package

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Site Manager
• Strong background in highways and civil engineering
• Previous experience working on major highways or infrastructure schemes
• Good understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and programme delivery
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Relevant CSCS / SMSTS or equivalent qualifications
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and work effectively within a large project team
