Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Sub Agent/Section Engineer for our London civil engineering projects. The role focuses on on-site supervision, coordination with engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and strict adherence to plans and safety standards.

You will monitor progress, conduct quality checks and risk assessments, and assist the Site Agent in managing resources like labour, materials and equipment on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering projects is essential.
• CSCS certification is required.
• HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily site operations according to project plans and safety standards.
• Coordinating with engineers, forepersons, and subcontractors to maintain workflow.
• Monitoring progress against schedules and addressing delays.
• Conducting site inspections, quality checks and risk assessments.
• Supporting the Site Agent with resource management of labour, materials and equipment.

Already having a long-established history in London, the success these new schemes has placed them in prime position in the London market. Working across infrastructure, water and frameworks they can offer an impressive portfolio of work to get involved with. To fulfil the current and new projects there is a need to increase the engineering teams with Sub Agents.

Your day to day will include:

• Overseeing daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Coordinating with engineers, forepersons, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitoring progress against project schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions
• Conducting site inspections, quality checks, and risk assessments to ensure compliance
• Supporting the Site Agent in managing resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maximise efficiency

Requirements

• Experience as a section engineer or sub agent would be a benefit
• CSCS
• HNC or degree qualified or equivalent
• Experience of working in Civil Engineering
