Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Sub Agent for an Leicester-based earthworks project. You will support the delivery of earthworks, working with the Project Manager, Site Agents and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Responsibilities include coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, reviewing RAMS and permits, and maintaining accurate records for senior management. Immediate start on a 12-month contract with long-term highway scheme potential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Sub Agent on highways or civil projects.
• Strong earthworks package delivery experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Understanding of construction methodology, programme and sequencing.
• Knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• CSCS and highways/site certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress, productivity and quality of works.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

• Liaise with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and project team.
• Assist with planning, sequencing and coordination of earthworks activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues on site.
• Maintain accurate site records and report progress to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating day-to-day site activities across the earthworks package.
• Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with the successful delivery of the works.
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme and specification.

• Ensuring all works comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Reviewing RAMS, permits and relevant project documentation.
• Liaising with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Assisting with planning, sequencing and coordination of earthworks activities.
• Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues on site.

Requirements
