Salary: £34,391 - £44,558 per annum depending on qualifications (Pro-rata salary £31,138 - £40,343 per annum)

We are seeking an exceptional Lecturer in Dance and Study Programme Lead in Performing Arts to join our high-performing team. This dual-role position combines high-quality teaching with programme leadership responsibilities, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to shape both the academic and pastoral journey of our students.
As a lecturer, you will teach the dance specialism within the performing arts programmes, . At Abingdon & Witney College, we focus on developing &slshquot;triple threat&slshquot; performers through training in acting, singing and dancing. Students often join us with strengths in one of these disciplines and are encouraged to develop their performance skills holistically. We are particularly interested in applications from lecturers with a dance background who are also confident to act as the choreographer for our shows and performances.
In your Study Programme Lead capacity, you will take ownership of course planning, student progress, programme quality and learner success. You will coordinate learning plans, monitor academic performance, lead tutorials and progress reviews, oversee assessment and internal verification processes, and ensure learners receive outstanding support throughout their studies. You will also work closely with colleagues, employers and stakeholders to enhance students' progression opportunities and industry readiness.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
