Job summary

Study Group is seeking a Welfare & Engagement Officer for the University of Sheffield International College, on-site in Sheffield. You will provide welfare support, case management, safeguarding, and plan welfare activities to enhance student wellbeing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, safeguarding training, and experience in customer service and external partnerships. It is a 1-year fixed-term contract with salary up to £26,520 per year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent to work independently.
  • Safeguarding training or equivalent experience in education.
  • Experience organising trips and completing risk assessments.
  • Experience creating engaging content and delivering workshops.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners for activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide welfare and pastoral support to students and refer to external services as required.
  • Maintain welfare case records in the student information system per GDPR.
  • Support safeguarding and act as point of contact for staff concerns.
  • Develop and monitor Support Plans for students and track engagement.
  • Promote NHS health registrations and help students access services.
  • Plan and deliver annual welfare events and promotional activities.
  • Make check-in calls with students on support or safety plans when needed.
  • Assist reception and student-facing duties and cover admin tasks during peaks.
