Job summary

Study Group is seeking a Welfare & Engagement Officer to support students face-to-face and online at Leeds International Study Centre, on-site in Leeds. The role focuses on welfare, safeguarding, and delivering a programme of activities to develop student skills and confidence outside the classroom.

The post holder will handle case management, provide 1:1 welfare support, and coordinate support plans while collaborating with colleagues to promote health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding training or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting students in an educational context.
• Experience organising trips and risk assessments.
• Experience creating engaging content and delivering workshops.

Responsibilities

• Provide welfare and safeguarding support to LDHD students, with accurate records per GDPR.
• Act as point of contact for welfare concerns and refer to external services as needed.
• Develop and monitor Support Plans andMitigating Circumstances processes.
• Support with annual welfare events and health promotion activities.
• Assist with student check-ins and engagement in wellbeing initiatives.
• Maintain professional relationships with University departments and external partners.
