Job summary

Study Group at The University of Sheffield International College in Sheffield is seeking a Welfare & Engagement Officer to support students face-to-face and online, delivering essential welfare services and coordinating activities to help learners develop skills and confidence outside the classroom.

You will manage welfare cases, safeguard students in line with policy, provide 1:1 support or referrals, and plan annual welfare events while maintaining GDPR-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Experience in welfare or student support environments.
• Familiarity with safeguarding policies and GDPR.
• Ability to create and deliver engaging wellbeing activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage welfare casework for LDHD students with GDPR-compliant records.
• Provide 1:1 welfare support and refer to external services as needed.
• Develop and monitor Support Plans and activities for student wellbeing.
• Safeguard students in line with policy and be point of contact for safety concerns.
• Promote health registrations with NHS and coordinate welfare events.
• Support reception and admin tasks and assist with inductions and enrichment activities.
