Job summary

Lift Greensward is a secondary school within Lift Schools, seeking a compassionate pastoral assistant to support students, families, teachers and colleagues. You will help promote wellbeing, monitor attendance and identify students needing extra care, while contributing to administrative tasks to keep the school running smoothly.

You will collaborate with our pastoral team to maintain safe, inclusive school culture and communicate with parents about student wellbeing and progress.

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English (grade 4 or equivalent) required.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with young people.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Confident using data to spot patterns and help improve outcomes for students.
• Non-judgemental, caring approach and safeguarding commitment.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to students to help them feel included and settled.
• Identify and monitor personal issues and create support plans with colleagues.
• Support high standards of behaviour and attendance with teachers and families.
• Record and track pastoral, behaviour and attendance data.
• Communicate with parents and carers about wellbeing and progress.
• Work with SENDCo, safeguarding team and leaders to review cases.
