Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking a Pastoral Assistant to support student wellbeing, attendance and welfare. You will work closely with students, families and staff to ensure every child feels valued and ready to learn.

You'll identify students needing extra care, collaborate with teachers to maintain high behaviour standards, and manage pastoral data while communicating with families regularly.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, families and staff.
• Excellent behaviour management and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to analyse data to spot trends and inform decisions.
• Commitment to inclusivity and safeguarding in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support students' wellbeing and welfare, including those needing extra help.
• Collaborate with teachers to manage behaviour and improve attendance.
• Update pastoral and behaviour data in school systems and prepare half-term reports.
• Communicate with families about behaviour, attendance and welfare needs.
• Work with SENDCo, mental health lead and safeguarding leads to improve school culture.
• Fulfill duties as part of the school rota.
