Job summary

The South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form, part of East Midlands Education Trust, is seeking an outstanding Pastoral Support Assistant who is proactive, collaborative and committed to ensuring every student achieves their full potential. You will support wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development as part of our pastoral team.

The role involves working with students, families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning, provide targeted interventions and assist reintegration

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people and safeguarding commitments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check and be eligible to work in the UK.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted pastoral interventions and act as a key worker for identified students.
• Support wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development.
• Work with parents, carers and external agencies to address barriers to learning.
• Assist reintegration following suspension and help maintain a calm, inclusive school environment.
