Turing House School is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to work under the guidance of the Pastoral Manager. You will provide high-quality pastoral support to students with social, emotional and wellbeing needs, helping them access learning and participate in school life.

In this role you will build positive relationships, maintain records, support transitions between key stages and assist with safeguarding and inclusion across the school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school or similar setting.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and ICT skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Patient, flexible, adaptable and resilient approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion.

Responsabilités

• Provide support for targeted students, including those with SEND and additional pastoral needs.
• Build positive relationships with students and act as a positive role model.
• Support students to access lessons and engage with learning.
• Deliver and evaluate one-to-one and small-group pastoral interventions.
• Maintain accurate, detailed and secure student records.
• Support students accessing the Enigma Room and assist reintegration into mainstream learning.
• Provide examination access arrangement support.
• Assist with Year 6 and Post-16 transition processes.
• Undertake break and lunchtime supervision duties.
• Support extracurricular and enrichment activities as required.
