Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is recruiting a Permanent Pastoral Support Assistant for South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form in Keyworth. You will focus on students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development, acting as a key worker for identified students and liaising with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning.

Experience of working with young people and a strong safeguarding commitment are essential, with an enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted pastoral interventions for students.
• Act as key worker for identified students.
• Support students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development.
• Support reintegration of students following suspension.
• Work with students, parents, carers and external agencies to address barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure students feel safe, supported and successful.
• Contribute to a calm, purposeful and inclusive school environment.
