Job summary

MCR Property Group Ltd is seeking an Assistant Accommodation Manager for Parham Student Village in Canterbury. The role supports the General Manager in daily operations, administration, and delivering high-quality resident services.

You will help oversee maintenance, safety, compliance, and occupant relations, ensuring a well-run, welcoming living environment for students while handling admin tasks and contributing to occupancy and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in student accommodation or residential property management.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Well-organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Flexible with occasional evening or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations including maintenance coordination, security oversight, cleaning standards, and front-line customer service.
• Ensure health & safety, fire safety, and compliance requirements are adhered to.
• Manage resident relations, respond to enquiries, resolve issues, and support a positive residential environment.
• Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on repairs or improvements.
• Support occupancy management including check-ins, check-outs, tenancy queries, and admin processes.
• Assist with marketing and engagement activities to maintain high occupancy levels.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service partners.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
• Contribute to budget monitoring and cost-control processes.
• Provide operational cover in the absence of the General Manager.
