Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking an Assistant Accommodation Manager for Parham Student Village. You will support the General Manager with daily operations, administrative tasks, and delivering a high-quality living experience for residents.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, health and safety, frontline customer service, occupancy administration, and budget monitoring. You will liaise with contractors and ensure compliance, reporting to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in student accommodation or similar operational environment.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Well-organised with attention to detail.
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Understanding of health & safety and property compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management systems desirable.
• Flexible approach with occasional evening or weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations including maintenance coordination, security oversight, cleaning standards, and front-line customer service.
• Assist in ensuring health & safety, fire safety, and all regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to.
• Help manage resident relations, responding to enquiries, resolving issues, and supporting a positive residential environment.
• Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on required repairs or improvements.
• Support occupancy management, including check-ins, check-outs, tenancy queries, and administrative processes.
• Assist with marketing and engagement activities aimed at maintaining high occupancy levels.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service partners as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
• Contribute to budget monitoring and cost-control processes.
• Provide operational cover in the absence of the General Manager.
