Job summary

MCR Property Group Ltd is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join the team at Parham Student Village in Canterbury. This permanent, full-time role offers 30 hours per week and pays £12.71 per hour as a base.

You will maintain cleanliness across residential properties and communal areas, perform dusting, vacuuming, mopping and polishing, and report maintenance or safety issues promptly. Good communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cleaner or similar role.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper storage and disposal methods.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor polishers and carpet cleaners.
• Physically fit to carry out manual tasks.
• Willingness to assist with PPMs and operational tasks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated areas to a high standard, including site offices, toilets, corridors and communal areas.
• Carry out cleaning tasks: dusting, vacuuming, mopping and polishing.
• Empty bins and remove waste to designated areas.
• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate person.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from clients.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes.
