Job summary

Access Education Group seeks a Learner Services Advisor in Bedford to support learners with identified needs, manage records, and assist with exams and admissions. The role focuses on high-needs funded learners within a busy educational setting.

You will be the first point of contact, delivering targeted interventions, recording progress, and coordinating with lecturers and departments to ensure a smooth learner journey. Term-time, temporary contract with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in learner support or student services within education.
• Strong written and verbal communication to build rapport.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office and learner management systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Empathy and passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection legislation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused teaching interventions for learners with identified support needs.
• Record learner support and pastoral activity in logs and systems.
• Assist with ALS learner profiles and support plans.
• Support EAA applications by gathering evidence with the Senior Learner Services Advisor.
• Manage the reception and provide professional, customer-focused service.
• Assist with admin tasks across estates, facilities, health & safety, and communications.
• Liaise with departments to support admissions, enrolment, and data reporting.
• Provide careers support as directed by the Head of Careers.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately with DSL guidance.
