Job summary

Sandwell College is seeking a Student Support Officer to join our Student Services team at Cadbury College campus on a full-time, fixed term 39-week term-time basis for the 2026/2027 academic year. The role aims to create a safe, positive and supportive environment where every learner can thrive.

You will promote a safe learning environment, monitor behaviour and attendance, provide individual guidance, and work with colleagues to improve learner welfare and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting learners in an educational environment.
  • Commitment to creating a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Ability to understand and respond to individual learner needs.
  • Ability to produce clear and meaningful incident/accident reports.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities
