Job summary

Clarendon Academy in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, is seeking a calm, confident Cover Hub Supervisor to oversee multiple classes in a shared space, ensuring pupils stay focused on pre-set work. There is no requirement to plan lessons, mark work, or deliver teaching content.

The role is part-time (32.5 hours/week, 39 weeks/year) with a pro rata salary of £32,578 per annum. The successful candidate will support behaviour management and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Has GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
• Demonstrates passion for supporting young people.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff and parents.
• Self-motivated, consistent and organised with a calm, authoritative manner.
• Experience in supporting students and managing classroom behaviour is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a purposeful learning environment for students.
• Manage behaviour effectively to keep pupils engaged with tasks.
• Support completion of pre-set work provided by subject teachers.
• Direct pupils not meeting expectations to complete work in the behaviour suite.
