Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Student Service, Support and Development Manager within the School of Biological Sciences to lead the student services team and ensure high-quality information, advice and welfare support for all students.

You will work with academic colleagues and Professional Services to deliver a joined-up student experience, and support wider university priorities around service excellence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in information, advice and student support.
• Proven track record in leading a team with clear objectives and performance goals.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment delivering excellent customer service to stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage across organisational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to deliver consistent, sustainable support and expertise for students across the organisation.
• Organise, motivate and direct the team to meet objectives efficiently.
• Manage the Student Service, Support and Development Team and the school-based hub.
• Develop and manage the student communication and engagement framework within the School.
• Oversee development and delivery of welcome, induction and graduation activities for all students.
