Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Manager to lead the School of Biological Sciences' student services and development team. You will ensure high-quality information, advice and welfare support across the student journey, working with academic and professional services colleagues to enhance the student experience.

In this role, you will manage complex student-service processes, develop communications and engagement frameworks, and drive events from welcome to graduation,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in information, advice and student support.
• Proven record of leading a team and achieving clear objectives.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment delivering exceptional service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across organisational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to deliver consistent, sustainable support and expertise for students across the organisation.
• Organise, motivate and direct the work of the team, delegating responsibilities to appropriate levels.
• Effectively manage the Student Service, Support and Development Team, including the school-based hub.
• Develop and manage the student communication and engagement framework within the School.
• Oversee development and delivery of welcome, induction, graduation and related activities for all students across departments.
