The Student Email Manager is a business-critical role within the Student Marketing Funnel team, responsible for delivering and optimising email communications throughout the student recruitment journey. Email remains one of King's most effective channels for engaging prospective students, nurturing applications, supporting offer holder conversion, and driving enrolment.
The role manages strategic email planning, audience segmentation, automated journeys, campaign delivery, testing and performance analysis across multiple recruitment cycles. Its work directly supports student recruitment targets by increasing engagement, application conversion and enrolment rates through timely and personalised communications.
The role also ensures compliance with data protection, consent management and communication governance requirements, reducing operational and reputational risk. Working closely with Recruitment, Admissions, Faculties and Digital teams, the post improves efficiency through automation and scalable communications, allowing large volumes of prospective students to receive personalised content without significant manual intervention.
Without this role, the university would face reduced capacity to deliver recruitment communications at scale, impacting conversion activity, student experience and recruitment performance. The position supports income generation through improved student recruitment outcomes and protects the university's investment in CRM and marketing technology.
