Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Stroke Nurse Practitioner to join the Stroke Team in the Neurology Department. The post involves internal rotations, day and night shifts, supporting the Hyper Acute Pathway within the Neuro Assessment Unit and Hyper Acute Stroke unit.

You will provide professional and clinical leadership for the Stroke Pathway and work with a team of Stroke Nurse Practitioners to deliver high standards of care and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Post-registration experience at Band 5 or above.
• Highly specialist knowledge in Stroke nursing.
• Experience of multi professional working.
• Experience of teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-quality patient care within the Stroke pathway.
• Provide expert clinical nursing in Hyper Acute Stroke care.
• Support delivery of high standards of nursing care for stroke patients.
• Collaborate with the multi-professional team to maintain a quality service.
• Provide education and advice across the acute stroke pathway.
• Drive improvements in health outcomes for stroke patients.
