Job summary

Northumberland County Council in Morpeth is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning and Analytics Adviser to support workforce forecasting, analytics and establishment governance. This fixed-term role will translate priorities into practical workforce strategies across the organisation.

You will deliver workforce insights, challenge establishment control and collaborate with services to align structures with financial priorities, enabling evidence-based planning and decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning, people/data analytics, organisational design or a related specialist HR field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful insights.
• Knowledge of job evaluation, job architecture, workforce governance or establishment management.
• A Level 5 qualification in HR, Leadership, Organisational Development, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Supporting strategic workforce planning activities, including workforce forecasting, capacity planning and scenario modelling.
• Providing expert advice on job architecture, job levelling, and workforce governance.
• Developing workforce insights, analytics and reporting to support evidence-based decision making.
• Managing establishment control and position governance to ensure workforce structures align with organisational and financial priorities.
• Building strong relationships with services and stakeholders to shape future workforce strategies.
