WSP in the UK & Ireland is looking for a Health and Safety Business Partner within our Water sector to drive safer project delivery across leaders, teams and service lines. You’ll provide expert advice, conduct CDM audits, lead incident investigations and use Power BI to spot trends, informing monthly reports.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety law, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and the CDM Regulations, plus water sector requirements.
• Experience in a health and safety advisory or business partner role within water, utilities, engineering, construction or infrastructure consultancy.
• The confidence to influence senior leaders, project managers and designers, with advice that is practical, proportionate and commercially aware.
• Hands-on experience of site checks, audits, inspections and managing serious risks.
• Experience of investigating incidents, finding root causes and making sure the lessons are shared.
• A good eye for data, with the ability to turn it into clear and useful insight.
• Great communication skills, from running a briefing to giving constructive challenge.
• Strong organisation skills, with the ability to work independently across several projects.
• Chartered IOSH membership or working towards it would be a bonus.

Aufgaben

• Giving clear, expert and practical health and safety advice to project teams and leaders across the Water business.
• Getting out on site and spending time with project teams to offer support, share what you find and help them improve.
• Carrying out CDM audits and helping teams manage project risks well.
• Leading incident reporting and investigations, and turning what we learn into lessons and alerts the wider business can act on.
• Using Power BI to analyse safety data and spot trends and emerging risks, then reporting on them every month.
• Planning and running briefings, presentations and training for your teams.
• Helping to deliver our UK and Ireland health, safety, environment and quality strategy.
