Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Health and Safety Business Partner for its Water business. You’ll partner with leaders and project teams to embed safety, deliver CDM audits, and use data to drive improvements.

This role involves on-site support, training, and contributing to safety strategy across UK&I, with hybrid working and opportunities to grow within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK health and safety law (Health and Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations).
• Experience in health and safety advisory or business partner roles in water, utilities or infrastructure.
• Ability to influence senior leaders with practical, commercially aware advice.
• Hands-on site checks, audits and risk management.
• Experience investigating incidents and sharing lessons learned.
• Good data sense with ability to turn data into insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Organised, able to work across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, expert Health & Safety advice to project teams and leaders.
• Glean insights on-site with project teams to support improvements.
• Perform CDM audits and help manage project risks.
• Lead incident reporting and investigations and share learnings.
• Use Power BI to analyse safety data and report monthly.
• Plan and deliver briefings, presentations and training.
• Support delivery of the UK & Ireland HSE&Q strategy.
