Job summary

Last Mile is recruiting a Business Development Manager for the Southwest region. You will target housebuilders, master developers and consultants to grow our footprint, managing opportunities from initial contact through to contract, in collaboration with design and estimating teams.

The role requires navigating multiple stakeholders and a drive to secure new utility connections. You will work with our design and estimating functions to craft compelling proposals, shape commercial solutions, and

Qualifications

• Proven track record of winning new business from a standing start.
• Experience in a complex B2B sale with multiple decision makers.
• Ability to engage with technical content and discuss design or commercial offers.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to negotiate within parameters.
• Disciplined pipeline management with forecasting using a CRM.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a targeted list of housebuilders, master developers and consultants with no prior Last Mile relationship.
• Research, call, visit and network with key decision makers across technical and commercial teams.
• Monitor land and planning activity and provide initial budget quotations at feasibility stage.
• Qualify enquiries and lead bids from brief to proposal with design/estimating teams.
• Present and negotiate offers, manage objections, and secure contracts with a smooth handover to delivery.
