Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for the Utilities sector, with a proven background in leading teams, securing major contracts, and driving strategic growth across regulated environments.

The role is hybrid, covering South East England and the East Midlands, and involves leading a BD team, developing client relationships, managing bids and negotiations, and collaborating with design, engineering and delivery teams to deliver commercially strong

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a strategic business development plan across the Southeast and East Midlands
• Identify emerging market trends, new sectors and high-value commercial opportunities
• Lead, manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients and strategic partners
• Manage major project accounts and support the delivery of high-value opportunities
• Lead commercial discussions, pricing strategies, contract negotiations and deal structures
• Support complex bids and tenders, working closely with design, engineering, estimating and delivery teams
• Drive continuous improvement across business development processes and ways of working
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and other strategic forums
