National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) is seeking an experienced Business & Digital Transformation Manager to join its Transformation Office. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you will shape and drive digital and technology activity across NGED’s transformation programmes, delivering clarity on progress, milestones and risks for informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in business transformation with IT&D components, roadmaps and benefits cases.
• Ability to own delivery and remove blockers to achieve planned results.
• Ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies; implement mitigations.
• Strong analytical, data and critical thinking; translate insights into action.
• Excellent communication skills for senior levels and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships.
• People management skills to influence multiple teams.
• Experience in an Agile Operating Model is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive progress with business areas and IT&D to ensure deliverables visibility in Transformation Programme.
• Ensure business owners prioritise digital work within Transformation programmes and NGED.
• Make sure progress, dependencies and risks are clearly understood and reported in governance.
• Maintain IT&D backlogs aligned to Transformation outcomes and business deliverables.
• Create and maintain transformation roadmaps; identify risks and define mitigation plans.
• Define and track measures, targets and KPIs for benefits realisation and reporting.
• Align digital/technology activity with business objectives with senior stakeholders.
• Support adoption of agile delivery practices and product ownership strategy.
