Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Estimator for structural steel projects in Leeds. This permanent role focuses on driving tenders from enquiry through to detailed estimates, interpreting drawings and specs while ensuring competitiveness and commercial viability.

The role involves coordinating with Design, Contracts, Production and clients to deliver accurate, timely estimates and winning bids across a varied project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an estimating role.
• Experience within structural steel, steel fabrication, construction or related industry.
• Practical understanding of estimating and tendering process.
• Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and multiple deadlines.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• A relevant technical or engineering qualification would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Managing incoming enquiries and reviewing opportunities for commercial viability.
• Working from detailed drawings, specifications and project information.
• Preparing accurate and detailed estimates for clients.
• Reviewing quantities, materials, labour and other project requirements.
• Supporting the preparation and submission of tenders.
• Liaising with clients throughout the estimating and tender process.
• Working closely with Design, Contracts, Production and other internal departments.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
• Supporting the development of new client relationships and business opportunities.
• Managing multiple enquiries and tenders while working to tight deadlines.
• Ensuring estimates are commercially competitive while remaining achievable.
• Providing clear and accurate information to support successful project delivery.
